Professional Biography

Meadow’s distinguished career spans over three decades, during which she has honed her skills as a leader, administrator, and coach and consultant. In November 2016, Meadow took a pivotal step by founding CoachAbility, which has since expanded to CoachAbility360, LLC—a sports consulting business dedicated to guiding leaders, corporate, administrators, coaches, athletes, and parents through the complex industry landscapes.

Coach Meadow joined the Manzer Basketball Academy in the Spring of 2024 as the Director of the Lady Stars program to inspire young female athletes to excel both on and off the court through basketball skill development, leadership, and teamwork.

In 2023, Meadow resumed her coaching career for one season at Atlantic Collegiate Academy, a new charter school in Myrtle Beach, SC. Her core coaching philosophy was focused on coachability, accountability, and unity—emphasizing “trusting the process.” Known for their discipline, sportsmanship, and relentless effort, her teams consistently demonstrate a high level of commitment on the court.

From 2014 to 2016, Meadow served as the Director of Athletics and Physical Education, overseeing 40 teams and faculty. She developed the K–5th grade PE curriculum, managed scheduling, facilities, risk management, and budgets. Meadow implemented fitness programs, PR initiatives, and professional development for coaches. Among her most rewarding accomplishments were organizing clinics on team building, sportsmanship, and character development, as well as enhancing departmental policies and the student handbook.

In 2006, Meadow took over the helm and served as Director of Athletics at City College of New York for nearly eight years, where her passion, competitive spirit, and visionary leadership left a lasting impact. Her deep knowledge of the CUNY conference and her “One Team, One Dream” philosophy became a unifying mantra for over 250 student-athletes across 17 teams. Meadow’s commitment to fostering teamwork, camaraderie, and life skills inspired initiatives as well as Meadow launched the Coaches and Captains Retreats in 2009 to support her goal of developing well-rounded student-athletes and empowering them as leaders beyond sports.

Before her role at City College, Meadow was the Associate Athletic Director and Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Hunter College for nearly 17 years. As head coach for 13 seasons, she led the Hawks to eight regular-season league titles, five conference championships, four NCAA Tournament appearances, and two ECAC bids, making her the winningest women’s basketball coach in Hunter’s history and the first to secure an NCAA Division III Championship bid. Meadow’s success brought regional and national acclaim to Hunter, and she earned numerous accolades, including three CUNYAC Coach of the Year awards, Skyline Conference Coach of the Year, and Metropolitan Writers Association Division III Coach of the Year in 2003.

Meadow’s dedication extends beyond athletics. She has served on multiple nonprofit boards and CUNYAC committees, as well as various university committees. Additionally, she served on the NCAA Women’s Basketball National Committee and was affiliated with organizations such as the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, National Intramural Recreation Sports Association, National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators, and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

A New York City native, Meadow holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Oneonta State College, where she was a standout in basketball and softball, and an M.S. Ed. in Recreation Administration from Lehman College and resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Currently, Blanco is the Founder and Program Director of Select Elit, LLC

Blanco’s’ coaching career Select Elite is a youth basketball program based out of the Bronx instructing, nuturing and developing All-Stars startiing as early as 6 years old and seeing them through their college experience.

Throughout her career, Blanco has emphasized the importance of team development, sporting the motto “Team is Family” wherever she goes. As evident by her administrative and coaching accomplishments, Blanco has proven coaching success.

Professional Biography

Penny Weiner is a retired Adaptive Physical Education teacher with over 35 years of experience, having taught at 811X Academy of Career and Living Skills in the Bronx and Leake and Watts in Yonkers. She also had a successful coaching career, serving as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Baruch College (1987–1994), leading her team to two CUNYAC Finals, and later helping establish Baruch’s Softball Program in 2001. She continued coaching softball until 2014, contributing to two CUNY Championships in 2010 and 2012.

Beyond education and coaching, Penny is deeply committed to volunteerism. A two-time breast cancer survivor, she has been actively involved with Camp Bravehearts since 2001, providing cancer survivors with outdoor adventure retreats. More recently, her work with Coachability360 under Jackee Meadow has rekindled her passion for team bonding and cooperative games, inspiring groups to build strong connections through teamwork.

Penny is also a dedicated athlete, having completed the New York City Marathon 15 times. She holds a B.S. in Physical Education from Towson State College and a Master’s in Adaptive Physical Education from Queens College. Her lifelong mission is to give back, instill hope, and foster a sense of community through sports, education, and mentorship.
